From Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th June 2024, the meeting of G7 Heads of State and Government will be held at Borgo Egnazia (BR), in Apulia, chaired by the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni. Early accreditation is mandatory for all media representatives interested in attending.

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, announces the participation of Pope Francis in the G7 Summit to be held at Borgo Egnazia, in the Apulia Region, from 13th to 15th June. The Pontiff will be attending the Summit’s ‘Outreach’ session, which is open to other invited countries and not just the members of the G7.

Presentation of National Cybersecurity Agency’s annual report to Parliament

A press conference was held at Palazzo Chigi today to present the annual report to Parliament by the National Cybersecurity Agency (‘Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale’, ‘ACN’). Meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, at Palazzo Chigi today. Numerous bilateral agreements were exchanged during the meeting, reflecting the will to enhance channels of dialogue and collaboration in all sectors of common interest, starting with security, and to continue strengthening cooperation with Central Asia.

Meeting with the Secretary of Commerce of the United States of America

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the Secretary of Commerce of the United States of America, Gina Raimondo, at Palazzo Chigi today.The meeting focused on discussing respective strategies and initiatives in technological and industrial areas of priority interest, starting with semiconductors and applications of artificial intelligence. Opportunities to strengthen mutual investments were also discussed. Lastly, the meeting provided an opportunity for an update on the main goals of the Italian G7 Presidency.
